ANNUAL HARVEST TOUR
October 13th, 2018
This isn’t just any ‘ole winery tour….it’s an adventure!
Learn how we turn grapes into wine as we showcase the wine-making process from the crush pad to the tank room, finishing with tasting samples from the barrel cellar. Then step into our vineyards for a close-up view of our grapes and discover what makes Milbrandt Vineyards truly unique. The tour finishes at Butch Milbrandt’s gorgeous abode where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy one of the best wine country views around.
Oct. 13th: Stainless steel tanks await the arrival of our highest quality grapes, and crush season begins. Viticulturists, harvesters, and our winemaker will be working ’round the clock to get grapes into barrels for fermentation. For this date lunch will be catered by Chef Roger Hazzard of Bon Vino’s Bistro in Sunnyside, WA.
ITINERARY:
Check-in & Coffee 8:30-8:55am
Depart from the Prosser Tasting Room 9:00am
Arrive at Wahluke Wine Company 10:15am
Production Facility Tour 10:15am -11:45am
Vineyard Walk 11:45am – 12:45pm
Travel to Butch Milbrandt’s 12:45pm – 1:00pm
Lunch 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Travel back to Prosser 2:00pm – 3:00pm
Dress Code: We highly recommend casual and comfortable clothing for our Harvest Tour. Wedges and heeled shoes are strongly discouraged, as safety is our number one priority. A comfortable pair of tennis shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirt or wine on, and a light jacket for the cool barrel cellar will suit just fine.
